We are seeking an infusion nurse (RN) with IVIg experience interested in providing in-home infusions for a local patient.

Infusion Details:

• Medication:  Soliris
  • Loading Dose: Soliris: Infuse 900 mg in NS (total volume 180 mL) intravenously once weekly for 4 doses.
    • Length of treatment: 43 Minutes
  • Maintenance Dose: Soliris- Infuse 1200 mg in NS (total volume 240mL) intravenously on week 5, then once every 2 weeks thereafter.
    • Length of treatment: 58 minutes
• Medication: Gamunex-C- Infuse 65g intravenously once daily for 2 consecutive days every 4 weeks
  • Length of treatment: Pre & Post Hydration 30-60 minutes each + 6 Hours + Prep Time
• Soliris and IVIG can be within a week of each other or even on the same day as long as it is given on the last day of the IVIG infusion cycle (ie, day 2 of ivig infusion q4 weeks)
• Location: Swanton, VT 05488
• Date of Service: The patient is requesting to be seen on any 2 of the following dates - 10/22, 10/23 or 10/24.
• Access: PORT
• Pump: Curlin Pump

Preferences:

• The patient prefers a 10 AM start time
• The patient has a dog in the home
• The patient is not new to treatment

• Deliver immune globulin infusion therapies directly to the patient in the comfort of their home.
• Make a meaningful impact by leveraging your clinical IV expertise and compassionate care to support patients within their environment.
• Provide personalized, one-on-one home infusion nursing care visits and patient education aligned with the physician's treatment plan.
• Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with patients, physicians, pharmacists, and other collaborative partners.

Requirements of the PRN Home Infusion Registered Nurse:

• Active and unencumbered nursing license in the state of practice
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (approved by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• IVIg experience, preferably in the home
• A valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance are required, with access to a vehicle for business-related travel
• A clear background check
