About the Role

As COO, you’ll oversee agency operations, drive service excellence, and ensure strategic alignment with our mission. You’ll work closely with the President & CEO, Board of Directors, and key leadership teams to enhance management efficiencies and service delivery. In the CEO’s absence, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the organization.

What You’ll Bring

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
Experience: At least five years in senior management, ideally in developmental disabilities or a related field.
Leadership: A proven ability to manage service delivery, administration, and strategic planning.
Compliance & Operations Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory standards and agency licensing.
Valid Driver’s License & willingness to use a personal vehicle for business purposes.
Pass Background Checks: Acceptable CORI required.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Partner with the President & CEO to drive organizational effectiveness.
  • Contribute to policy development, strategic planning, and public relations.
  • Work alongside Finance and HR leadership to align fiscal and personnel strategies with service delivery goals.
  • Support Board of Directors meetings and corporate governance functions.

Service Management & Compliance

  • Oversee direct care services and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (DDS, CARF, licensing, etc.).
  • Lead the development of new programs and service expansions.
  • Monitor resource allocation, licensing, certification, and overall service quality.
  • Act as a liaison with external partners, families, and agencies.
  • Ensure efficient admission and discharge processes.

Staff Leadership & Development

  • Supervise Directors across multiple service areas, ensuring effective team performance.
  • Promote professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends to keep the organization at the forefront of best practices.

Work Details

📍 Location: Miami, FL (must relocate before starting)
📆 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts
💰 Salary: $150,000 - $160,000 per year
