Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)

A well-established financial institution is seeking a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead strategic HR initiatives, talent management, and workforce development. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this executive leadership role will oversee all HR functions, drive culture transformation, and ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Leadership – Develop and execute HR strategies that align with business objectives and long-term vision.
  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning – Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning to attract and retain top talent.
  • Employee Relations & Culture Building – Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
  • Compensation & Benefits Management – Ensure competitive pay structures and oversee benefits administration, including wellness programs.
  • Performance Management & Leadership Development – Implement training programs, conduct performance evaluations, and support career growth.
  • HR Technology & Data Analytics – Leverage HR systems and analytics to improve decision-making and workforce efficiency.
  • Compliance & Risk Management – Stay updated on employment laws and ensure regulatory compliance in all HR processes.
  • Community & Organizational Engagement – Represent the organization in industry events and professional networks.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (HR certification preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of HR leadership experience, including HR policy development, talent acquisition, and compliance.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the financial services or banking sector is a plus but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and HRIS platforms.
  • Leadership & People Management: Strong ability to engage employees, drive organizational change, and support leadership teams.
